Founder

Dave Mashburn has over 30 years of experience in the development, design, construction, and facility management of over 200 hotels, convention centers, conference centers, trade and expo halls, resorts and mixed-use projects across the country totaling over 3 Billion dollars in development costs. Mr. Mashburn has significant experience in the development of large projects with complicated entitlements and incentives. As Managing Partner of Mashburn Development, LLC Dave provides real estate, development, and consulting services. As Development Director at John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts in Springfield, MO.

Dave directed the development of over twenty full-service convention center hotel projects across the country totaling over 1 Billion in development. Mr. Mashburn also has many years of experience in the facility management of hotels including the oversight of facility managers and on site engineers. Dave and his wife Jana have a passion for small historic hotels and inns.

In 2003, Dave and his wife bought the historic St George Hotel in Weston, MO and completed a major renovation to the property bringing it back to life and managed it for several years. Mr. Mashburn has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from University of Central Missouri. He holds a real estate license in the State of Missouri. Mashburn has been active in several professional organizations including: ULI, IFMA and ICSC.

Joe has over 30 years’ experience in hotel operation and implementing best practices throughout hotel properties across the United States. As Senior Vice President for John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts for 20 years, Joe directed all regional vice presidents across the United States in the management of over 80 full-service convention centers and hotels, select service hotels and non-branded hotels and resorts with revenues of over $800 million per year.

Prior to his position as Senior Vice President, Joe was a Regional Vice President with John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts managing multiple properties in multiple states. As General Manager Joe managed several hotel properties with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. He was also a General Manager with Davidson Hotels and Resorts.

Joe has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Tourism Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America.
